Census Date

Census Dates

The census date is the 12th class day for the fall and spring terms. The census date is the 8th class day for the fall, winter and spring quarters. For a 5 week summer session, the census date is the 4th class day.

For all other dates, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Some types of Financial Aid will increase or decrease as a student adds/drops credit hours. After the census date, these types of aid are frozen; and the student will be paid according to the number of hours he or she was enrolled in and attending on the census date. Students who drop below the appropriate number of hours for certain programs, may lose all eligibility for that program for the semester.
The Financial Aid Office begins monitoring attempted and earned credit hours after the census date.
Therefore classes that are dropped prior to the census date, do not affect Satisfactory Academic Progress.
