Technical Excellence Scholarships

The Greater Texas Foundation has granted South Plains College $25,000 to fund scholarships for students who are completing their final year of study in a technical education program. To be eligible, students must be sophomore-standing at SPC, have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be on track to graduate with an associate degree or certificate from a technical program. The scholarship award is valid for two consecutive semesters and scholarship recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA for the duration of the award. The scholarship will be awarded for the 2010 Fall and 2011 Spring Semesters only.

Qualified students must be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 semester hours) for each semester the scholarship is awarded. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic potential, GPA, financial need and/or ability to graduate from the program.

The Greater Texas Foundation is providing $1,000 scholarships for 25 full-time students for the 2011-2011 academic year

How to Apply

If you completed an SPC General Scholarship Application and submitted it by the March 1, 2010 deadline, you do not need to reapply for the Technical Excellence Scholarship.  If you have not made application for Scholarships, use the following link to download an application.

Return your completed application to the Scholarship Office, South Plains College, 1401 S. College Ave., Levelland, Texas 79336. Applications will be received until all scholarships have been awarded.
