Interviews will be conducted January 2014
Provide personal and crisis counseling in addition to advising, career guidance and counseling workshops. Coordinate, implement and promote Counseling Center efforts for college –wide events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Advise students on degree requirements and schedule classes each semester
Provide Career Counseling for students
Provide personal and crisis counseling for students
Plan, coordinate, assess and participate in Counseling Center efforts for college-wide events
Assist with all events conducted by or including services of the Guidance and Counseling Center
Collaborate in the development of Counseling Center budget
Other duties that may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Education or related field. Work experience in education and/or counseling. Good computer skills required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts and develop statistical information. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licensed Professional Counselor preferred
