Instructor in Music (Woodwinds)
Conducts College courses for undergraduate students by performing the following duties; responsibilities are to include teaching private lessons in the Woodwind area, and conducting small ensembles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Responsibilities could include (depending on expertise) Freshman theory, Music Lit, Music Appreciation and/ or Fundamentals of Music as needed by the department.
Other duties may be assigned and/or included in the Faculty Handbook.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
*Masters Degree (M.M.) with 18 graduate hours in teaching discipline.
*Public school teaching experience highly desirable.
Ability to perform physical tasks generally associated with the duties and responsibilities described above.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business technical procedures, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems; deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The skill level in this constantly changing field is demanding. The frequency of change for new technology remains at a challenging level. Faculty must continually utilize professional development to remain up to date on hardware, software, programming languages, and teaching methods.
