Mailroom Clerk

SUMMARY

Clerk will provide assistance as needed in mailroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. These duties will not be assigned daily, but will be assigned as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Work on some holidays.

Computer knowledge is a must. Windows and Office 2000 helpful.

Answer questions from students and faculty members.

Assist with collection and distribution of mail.

Help assist with postage machines.

Answer telephone inquiries.

Assist with billing, and filing.

Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

MinimumHigh School diploma or GED certificate.   Postage machine experience and accounting knowledge is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively respond to questions from faculty, agencies, students, and the public is essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to use a calculator for multiple purposes is required.

REASONING ABILITY

The applicant must be able to follow directions (either written or oral) and solve problems.
