Priority Deadlines

Grant funds for eligible students will be available at registration for students who meet the priority deadlines listed above. For consideration of programs with limited funds, your file must be complete by the priority deadlines.

Applications will be considered at all times, but if your file is not complete by the priority deadlines or if you are a first-time borrower with a 30 day hold on your first loan disbursement, you should be prepared to pay at registration using your own personal funds.  If you are eligible for Financial Aid, currently enrolled and you are meeting SPC Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards, you will receive your assistance during the semester/quarter.

If your file is selected for verification, it may be determined that additional information is required and the student and/or parent(s) will be asked to provide such information.  Failure or refusal to provide the information requested will end the processing of the financial aid file.  A student’s file will be processed on a “first come - first serve” basis according to the date the last document was received to complete his/her file.  During peak periods, students will experience some delays in the processing of their files.

Summer grant aid is awarded to eligible students who enroll in summer classes.  Summer loans are awarded to eligible enrolled students who have completed a summer loan request form.

ABSOLUTE DEADLINES:

FEDERAL PELL GRANT

To receive Pell grant funds, the Department of Education must have processed a valid SAR/ISIR record dated on or before June 30 with an official EFC number while an eligible student is enrolled for the award year.   

CAMPUS-BASED & LOANS

Files must be complete one week prior to the last day of finals for the term or the award year.  An eligible student’s loan request must be certified by financial aid no later than the last day of enrollment for the loan period.
