Associate Degree Nursing Testing Information

The computer test consists of:

Reading - 40 questions / 50 minutes   58.7%
Math – 45 questions / 56 minutes        58.7%                                    Retest date available for all parts  
Grammar & language usage (English) 58.7%

You must present a current photo ID (1) Driver's License, Student ID, Employee Badge or Passport, and 2) A document with your Social Security Number on it (Social Security Card) to test.

If you do not score a 58.7% on the Reading Section or 58.7% on the English section of this test, please register for a retest in the testing office. In order to be exempt from taking the Nursing MATH course, you must score a 58.7% on the MATH section

Must have a valid e-mail address before you take this test and if you have previously taken the TEAS or any ATI test you must have your password and username—contact ATI @ 1-800-667-7531 if you do not remember your password or username.

Calculators are not allowed                                   

TESTING DATES FOR FALL 2013 CLASS

Deadline for application March 6, 2013 at noon

You must sign up for a test at least 3 business days prior to a selected test date.

Fee for this test is $50.00

As of January 1, 2011 - Personal or Business checks will no longer be accepted as a form of payment for testing fees.  Cash or Credit Card Only. (Checks issued by a local School District will still be accepted at this time).

The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is the first step to being admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program.  This program is offered on the Levelland Campus twice a year (August & January).

You must have a valid e-mail address before you take this test and if you have previously taken the TEAS or any ATI test you must have your password and username—contact ATI @ 1-800-667-7531 if you do not remember your password or username. The TEAS test is given twice a year on preset dates.

Identification Requirements:

The Testing Center is required to deny admission to individuals who do not have valid identification.
Two forms of identification are required to test at SPC. Before you can be admitted to any examination, you must present current, valid identification.

1. Photo government issued identification (see below)
2. Document with Social Security Number  (see below)

Valid forms of photo identification include:

1. Passport for non-U.S. citizens -- must be current
2. Driver's license -- must be current – NOT EXPIRED
3. State issued I.D. card with photo -- must be current year

Valid forms of Social Security identification include:

1. Social Security Card
2. Pay stub with social security number on it
3. Official High School or College Transcript

See Prohibited Materials in the testing policy:  No cell phones will be allowed at the testing site.

What happens on the day of the Examination--Candidates should report to the Technology Center (unless website indicates a different testing location.) Please check the website and your testing receipt. Candidates must arrive at the Testing Center at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled exam time. NO EXCEPTIONS. Plan for parking and time to find testing location. Candidates must bring valid current identification (2 forms) see above. Day of testing.

1. Candidates must store all personal and electronic items in their vehicle.
2. Candidates may take nothing into the testing area, except identification and keys to your vehicle. Pencils and scratch paper will be provided by the Testing Center.

FAILURE TO ABIDE BY TESTING RULES WILL RESULT IN STUDENT HAVING TO CHOOSE ANOTHER TESTING DATE AND REPAYING FEES
