Levelland Campus VN Program Testing

Entrance Requirement Information for the LVN Program on the Levelland Campus.  All students who are applying for Fall 2012 Vocational Nursing Program MUST take the LVN ACCUPLACER as the entrance exam. Students CANNOT take THEA, ASSET or COMPASS to apply for the Vocational Nursing Program.

• There will be NO EXEMPTIONS allowed for testing purposes.
• Students may test ANYTIME the LVN ACCUPLACER test is offered.
• Students are encouraged to test EARLY in order to avoid complications of testing at the last minute.
• Students may retest on LVN ACCUPLACER one time per semester.
• LVN Accuplacer scores are good for 2 years.

Students need to take the LVN ACCUPLACER for the campus they are applying to.  Cut off scores on LVN ACCUPLACER in order to apply for the VOCATIONAL NURSING PROGRAM  Levelland Campus are:

Application will be given to you after passing the LVN Accuplacer. COMPLETED APPLICATION (Nursing Application, All test scores, & all Official Transcripts including SPC and High School or GED) IS TO BE TURNED IN AT THE NURSING OFFICE, TECHNICAL ARTS BUILDING, ROOM 110.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS APRIL 18, 2012  at noon.

Application to South Plains College must be completed before applying to the LVN program and before you take the LVN ACCUPLACER TEST. For official GED scores contact the State of Texas or the place where you tested.

TEST TIME:   2.5 Hours Total (4 sections on test)
COST:  $38.00 on line and $35.00 for in house test (non-refundable)
LOCATION: Testing Center     

Students must report to the Technology Center at least 30 minutes prior to testing time or students will be required to reschedule a test time.  If you have to reschedule, you will also need to pay an additional $38.00.

You must also have a valid I.D. and Social Security Card with you for the test.
