Plainview Campus VN Program Testing

Entrance Requirement Information for the LVN Program on the Plainview Campus:  All students who are applying for Fall 2013 Vocational Nursing Program MUST take the ACCUPLACER as the entrance exam. Students CANNOT take THEA, ASSET or COMPASS to apply for the Vocational Nursing Program.

• There will be NO EXEMPTIONS allowed for testing purposes.
• Students may test ANYTIME the ACCUPLACER test is offered.
• Students are encouraged to test EARLY in order to avoid complications of testing at the last minute.
• Students may retest the Accuplacer every two weeks.
• Accuplacer scores are good for 2 years.

Students need to take the ACCUPLACER for the campus they are applying to.  Cut off scores on ACCUPLACER in order to apply for the VOCATIONAL NURSING PROGRAM  Plainview Campus are:

Application will be given to you after passing the Accuplacer. COMPLETED APPLICATION (Nursing Application, All test scores, & all Official Transcripts including SPC and High School or GED) IS TO BE TURNED IN AT THE NURSING OFFICE SUITE, PC 104.

Application Period for Fall 2013: February 4, 2013 through May 20, 2013
Application Deadline for Fall 2013: Monday, May 20, 2013


Application to South Plains College must be completed before applying to the LVN program and before you take the ACCUPLACER TEST. For official GED scores contact the State of Texas or the place where you tested.

TEST TIME:   2.5 Hours Total (4 sections on test)
COST:  $30.00 cash (non-refundable)
LOCATION: Plainview Center     

Students must report to the Plainview Center at least 30 minutes prior to testing time or students will be required to reschedule a test time.  If you have to reschedule, you will also need to pay an additional $30.00.

You must also have a valid picture I.D., Social Security Card, and Registration Ticket with you for the test.
