    South Plains College students to compete for Miss Caprock title


    LEVELLAND – The 55th annual Miss Caprock Scholarship Pageant is slated for 7 p.m. on Nov. 16 (Friday) in the Tom T. Hall Production Studio at South Plains College.


    Julie Gerstenberger, Director of Development, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Entertainment will be provided by Whitney Quick.


    The winner of the pageant will receive a $500 SPC scholarship and the first runner-up will receive a $300 SPC scholarship. The 20 contestants, listed below, were selected as representatives for their student club or organization.  


    Anne Butt, 19, is a sophomore Live Sound Technician major from Flemington, N.J. She is the daughter of Peggy and Dan Butt. She represents North Sue Hall.


    Aurora Carrillo, 18, is a freshman Sociology major from Seagraves. She is the daughter of Maria and Juan Carrillo of Seagraves. She represents Baptist Student Ministry.


    Hayli Clements, 20, is a freshman Pre-Dentistry major from Lubbock. She is the daughter of Dennis and D’Ann Clements of Lubbock. She represents Phi Theta Kappa.


    Erika Cueva, 19, is a sophomore Education major from Amherst. She is the daughter of Leo and Maria Cueva of Amherst. She represents Athletics.


    Modylin DeLeon is a freshman Nursing major from Tahoka. She is the daughter of Melissa Ramirez of Tahoka. She represents Texan Cheerleaders.


    Bailey Fillmon, 19, is a sophomore Psychology major from Haskell. She is the daughter of Terri Fillmon and Larry Fillmon, both of Haskell. She represents the Student Government Association.


    Anyssa Gray, 19, is a freshman Cosmetology major from Jacksonville, Fla. She is the daughter of Bill Gray and Sharyn Gray, both of Jacksonville, Fla. She represents the Cosmetology.


    Marina Gutierrez, 18, is a freshman Foreign Language major from Lubbock. She is the daughter of Virginia Gutierrez of Lubbock. She represents Advocates for Children Today.


    Brianne Inmon, 18, is a sophomore Psychology major from Levelland. She is the daughter of Robyn Inmon of Levelland. She represents Campus Ambassadors.


    Michaela Ingram, 19, is a sophomore Government major from Littlefield. She is the daughter of Frank and Kathleen Ingram of Littlefield. She represents Gillespie Hall.


    Young Margarita Lara, 19, is a sophomore Criminal Justice major from Spur. She is the daughter of Roberto and Young Joo Lara of Spur. She represents Student Life.


    Sky Milosevich, 17, is a freshman Education major from Animas, N.M. She is the daughter of Randy and Karen Norrick of Animas, N.M. She represents Student Life.


    Stephanie Morales, 18, is a freshman Business Communications major from Lubbock. She is the daughter of Lori and Emiliano Rosas of Lubbock. She represents Student Life.


    Cynthia Rodriguez, 18, is a freshman Radiology major from Plains. She is the daughter of Maria Martinez and Ricardo Rodriguez, both of Plains. She represents Student Life.


    Taylor Veach, 18, is a Physical Therapy major from Littlefield. She is the daughter of Doma Veach of Littlefield. She represents Hispanic Student Organization.


    Kelsee Watkins, 19, is a sophomore Animal Science major from Claude. She is the daughter of Joe and Evonnda Watkins of Claude. She represents Lamar Hall.


    Madison Weeks, 19, is a freshmen undecided major from Lubbock. She is the daughter of Mitzi Reding and Bud Reding, both of Lubbock. She represents Student Life.


    Jayme Wheeler, 22, is a sophomore Print Journalism major from Levelland. She is the daughter of Olga and Orlando Lozano of Levelland. She represents the Press Club.
