    Kappa Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa hosted spring 2013 induction ceremony


    LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s Kappa Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recently inducted 93 students into the organization. The induction event was held Tuesday in the Sundown Room.

    To be eligible for induction, students must attend an institution offering an associate degree program, complete at least 12 hours of coursework, have full citizenship in their country and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or above. The benefits of membership include access to letters of recommendation, enrollment in a senior college database and a membership pin.

    Hockley County inductees were: Kaytlan Beard of Anton; Sarah Adams, Frances Atha, Chelsea Bermea, Jason Castillo, Nancy Corona, Wendy Daniel, Jenna Holt-Day, Brandi Doshier, Alexis Jaramillo, Tyson Jones, Andrew Lamprecht, Ekaterina Miroshnikova, Sarah Myatt, Lazar Nesovic, Amber Perez, Paxton Pugh, Spencer Renfrow, MiReyna Reyes, Alexander Rodriguez, Audrey Rodriquez, Mario Santos, Mariana Tarin, Katie Turnipseed, Tyler Wells and Taryn Williams, all of Levelland; and Dakota Chote of Smyer.

    The Lamb County inductees were: Elizabeth Balderas, Jacob Castillo and Danette Howell, all of Littlefield; Alia Reade of Olton; and Stormi Peck of Sudan.

    The Lynn County inductees were: Madylin DeLeon, Kayla Long and Stormee Martin, all of Tahoka.

    The Floyd County inductee was Taylor Orr of Floydada.

    The Crosby County inductees were: Mavrick Hansen, Ashley Kuehl and Irene Molina, all of Ralls.

    Gaines County inductees were: Ashley Turner of Loop; Dillon McConal of Seagraves; and Matraca Penner and Heidi Klassen, both of Seminole.

    The Cochran County inductee was Eli Vasquez of Morton.

    The Terry County inductees were: Brice Carmichael and Monica Warren, both of Meadow; and AnaStacia Redwine of Brownfield.

    The Yoakum County inductees were: Joshua Brock, Dakota Earnest, Vanessa Martinez and Fabiola Ruvalcaba, all of Plains; and Jimmy Maynard, Larnce Hicks, Jimmy Maynard and Yolanda Villalobos, all of Denver City.

    The Hale County inductees were: Gavin Givens and Jon Vandygriff, both of Abernathy; Matthew Hoglan, Emily Krug and Ana Martinez, all of Hale Center; Gayla Carpenter, Annie Ferrer, Bethany Fortner, Kelton Morris, Valinda Vasquez, Dorothy Wade and Susan Wilburn, all of Plainview.
